New "Stuff".......

Seems like everyone has a boat, kayak, paddle board or all three,  plus beach, snorkeling, diving or fishing  gear, plus  motorcycles, bikes, jeeps etc. (and I thought this RV thing was a way of  getting rid of the "stuff".  Actually is just an excuse to replace some old stuff with some different new stuff....)

 If you don't have the requisite Keys  type "stuff",  there are multiple places to rent them all around Marathon.  I know Alan had been thinking of ways  how I could carry a SUP- sort of an updated surfer's rig...  but a kayak is a little much! That will have to go on Little Blue, not me! 
They had been giving  kayaks some consideration, but when our neighbors put in their PEDAL POWERED Hobie Cat Mirage kayaks, they had to try them.  (www.hobiecat.com/mirage)  So they took off from the dock right in front of my parking space.  Kind of cool to watch these old timers think they were young.... but the pedals made everything easy- just like riding a bike- no arm muscles required!  By the thumbs up attitudes, I think they had fun. Could a two person pedal kayak could be in our future?  Maybe an inflatable of some type would work.  It wouldn't get much use up in alligator country back at TGO...  but who knows....
