Top 10- Beaches... of sorts.

ok... Alan wants to wander off in Baby Blue and hit the list of the top 10 beaches (each for different purposes)  in the Keys before we leave here.  Cant he ever sit still??  Fine with me though.  I will just relax and look out over the Gulf of Mexico in my prime spot here at Grassy Key while they navigate the tourist traffic.  Remember the Keys are not exactly know for their pristine sandy white swimming beaches in the traditional sense- after all most of the Keys are a coral reef!
The List:
1) Sandspur Beach at Bahia Honda State park.
2) Smathers Beach in Key West.
3) Dry Tortugas National Park
4) Sombrero Beach right here in Marathon.
5)Zachary Taylor State Park Beach in Key West
6) Higgs Beach in Key West
7) Rest Beach in Key West
8) Annes Beach in Islamorada
9) Calusa Beach in Big Pine Key
10) Key West Dog beach.

So the first visit on this trip is a return visit to Sombrero Beach to cool off Major.

Been there before, but it really is a sandy beach.  Ocean side of the Island, gentle surf, lots of parking, nice sand, decent size,  shady off beach area, generally not crowded, clean bathrooms, boat and kayak launch and most of all DOG FRIENDLY and FREE entry!  Doesn't get much better than that for this gang- sun for Alan, Shade for Bev, and gentle surf for Major...
