I finally got to visit the Redding stick house again (man is that dirt road in tough shape!) for the supposed purpose of some routine cleaning and maintenance– but then I find out they really hired me out as a Motel room for Bev’s daughter Laurie and granddaughter Alexandra ( oh boy, another redhead) . Now I am not exactly “kid friendly”, but Alex was smart enough to be appreciative of my size and beauty, so I guess it was ok. I will admit that in preparation for their visit I did get some interior cleaning and some new artwork for my walls. One wild painting that looks like Major, one drawn by Bev at our last outing at Mystic, and a new frame for the pic of my distance deceased ancestors at the Airstream Ranch in Plant City, Florida. (http://www.batesrv.com/ )After The guests left, the plan was to continue to hang out in the country air until the next planned trip over the Labor Day weekend down to the Jersey shore- However, the impending treat of hurricane Irene convinced Alan to take me back to my own warm and dry garage space. I sure didn’t need to be a target for some tree in the storm, not to mention the anticipated deluge of rain.
