Turns out the first leg of our next journey is a short one. Just 20 miles or so down the road to Carl and Mary's house on Shippan Point. Parked in the driveway - no hookups -but fantastic view of Long Island Sound. There definitely aren't any campgrounds in this area - let alone one with views like this!
We are hanging out here for a few days while Alan gets some work done so they can afford to keep me full of diesel fuel. Alan took Major to a small public beach area down the street this morning. Major had a great time running in the shallow water and doing his usual sit instead of swim routine. Bev's daughter Laurie and granddaughter Alexandra are visiting from Durango CO. Its a nice day so everyone (including Laurie's followers....) is hanging out by the pool in the backyard. Now this is camping in style! They decide to take a walk to the beach so the brave ones can take a dip in the (not too warm) salt water. Alex gets to walk Major on the way- two cute redheads...
We will probably have to leave here sometime tomorrow and head towards our next- and previously unplanned- destination! I think I am in for surprise!
