Alan is checking out the place to see if they can accommodate some repairs and improvements for me. Cant wait to see the list! Anyways its an easy 5 hr ride for me- except for the ridiculous condition of RT 87...I though I was going to shake apart with the rough ride-the Highway doesn't feel any better than the dirt road going to the Redding house! As we got further north the road improves and we made good time. Made a quick stop at Nomad to get introduced and get directions to the campground for the night at Snug Harbor RV and Marina -right on lake Champlain. Not a real level site, but the view overlooking the lake was great.
Alan and Bev even took a dip in the lake! Reportedly it was warmer than our last stop on Long Island Sound. Friendly folks and WAY quieter than the previous night our old faithful exit 2 rest area in CT on RT 84. Tomorrow we go back to Nomad and work on the list!
