Nashville- Music City- Country Music Awards Festival. http://www.cmafest.com/
Non stop music everywhere, all day and all night for 4 days! Fantastic event. Stages all over town, live music in all the bars, half dozen headliners everynight at LG Field. What I don't get, is why am I parked at the Countryside RV Resort which is a half hr from the action, and all the Prevosts are parked right on Broadway in the middle of town? Ok, so thier owners are the "Stars" but those fancy rigs don't even have a skydeck like mine!
We did have to make a quick overnight stop on the other side town on the way into Nashville so we could have some Inverter Techs take a look at my charging system first thing in the morning, Seems my house batteries only charge when plugged into shore power or the generator is running. That will make "Walmarting" a problem since the batteries arent charging during travel. They managed to diagnose the problem (faulty solenoid) but they were unable to locate a repacement part- so Alan ordered one from the factory and we will just deal with getting it installed in CT once the part arrives.
I did notice that Major had a great time running in the fields around the campground. I think he was glad to be off leash and out of Florida. He even got to go into town durng the day, eat at outdoor resturants, get his picture taken all the time, and listen to the music on the various outdoor stages. He did however, have to hang out with me at every night while Alan & Bev went to the stadium concerts.
Weather was great for our stay in Nashville, and now its time to make the final leg of our journey back to CT. Of course, since my previous garagemahol was sold to faciitate the purchase of our new Florida homestead, I suspect I will be parked outside for the Summer. I think Alan is planning to do some maintenece and upgrades on me, so being parked at the Redding house will be convenient for him, but a pain for me. Hope the weather in CT cooperates.
